WATERHOF SHIRAZ RESERVE 2003

Deep red color with purple hue, classic old world style with rich aromas of blackcurrant, olives and pepper gently supported by subtle oak characters. Ripe berry flavors dominate the pallet with soft fine tannins and a long spicy finish. The wine has been on a combination of French and American small oak for over 18 months.

And so it is, that “Waterhof Wines” was created:  From the little beginnings of a citrus farm, to the infinite possibilities that lie within our story and our journey. Waterhof is not your usual ‘run of the winepress’ kind of wine, because it has created a story all of its own, one we hope will continue to be shared not only through our family, but by those of you who have savoured, and will continue to enjoy her harvest!

It has taken us time, hard work, dedication and anticipation to produce a wine of such quality … and we invite you to join us in tasting the wonders of nature.

For us, Pim and Annemarie, we are proud of the palette Waterhof has produced; and to all of those involved in the process we say ‘thank you’.  From the locals who joined us in plucking grapes, to the experts who have advised us along the way … it has taken a community to plant, nurture and grow these vines ­ and it will take more than one generation to experience her harvest!
